House Studio DC was voted the Best Recording Studio in the Washington, D.C. Metro area by the Washington City paper (2011-2012). This is special to the House team because we have only been around for 2 years. Our commitment to making great music first and giving back at the same time provides a creative home for some of the best Engineers, producers, musicians, artists, and the entire DC Music community. Our Studio is appointment only, but we are always excited to work with new talent. Feel free to contact our Studio Manger Davina Thomas to schedule a tour of our award winning facility.

Engineers
Jake Groticelli
“Jake Grotticelli always takes pride in his eclectic music taste. “I just like to make records” is a sentiment often heard from House Studio’s own Jake Grotticelli and one that can be seen in his genera defying discography:
“I grew up on the heavier side of rock and roll, the punk and metal scene that for me just had a lot of aggression and power and message to it. But later on I discovered the musicianship that Herbie Hancock and the old jazz heads had along the low end power of the Bob Rock-Tribe Called Quest-era hip hop. Discovering different styles of music like this just opened my eyes to all the different amazing records there are to make.” Jake spends all of his time in the studio where if he is not engineering or mixing, he is teaching and trying to train the next wave of engineers. Artists he has worked with include Neon Trees, George Thorogood, Wale, Waka Flocka, BOB, Dru Hill, Deer Tick, Black Alley, and many many more. ”
